Welcome to the MMA Institute

Mission Statement

At MMA Institute, we strive to preserve and celebrate the legacy of mixed martial arts by meticulously documenting the achievements of fighters and the histories of the gyms that shaped them. Our Hall of Records serves as a digital archive, offering fans and practitioners a comprehensive view of the champions, their journeys, and the defining moments that have shaped the sport's rich history.

Through our curated online membership, we provide an engaging, resourceful platform for those passionate about MMA. By offering in-depth content, historical insights, and exclusive access to our growing archive, we aim to honor the sport's past, inspire its present, and contribute to its future impact worldwide.

OUR GOAL

The world is full of forces, each with its own purpose. Some seek power, others seek knowledge, and still others seek balance. The MMA Institute was born out of a desire for something different—something lasting. It began as an online platform, a place where one could learn, where the art of combat could be shared. But as with all things in life, the digital world is fleeting. The lights may go out, the connections may falter, and the knowledge that once seemed within reach may fade away.

But we do not wish to create something temporary. No, what we build must endure. Just as the Library of Alexandria once stood as a beacon of knowledge, the MMA Institute seeks to become a sanctuary for martial arts—an institution that will not be bound by time, but will grow with it. A place where every technique, every fighter, every lesson, is preserved—not just for the present, but for generations to come.

Our vision is to create a physical space where martial arts history can be recorded and respected, a place where knowledge of the past and the spirit of the present can meet. We will build locations around the world, centers of training and learning, where the next generations can come to study, practice, and push the boundaries of their craft. Just as a martial artist is always evolving, so too must this institute evolve with time.

In this space, tournaments will be held—gathering the best from around the world, a celebration of what it means to fight, to train, to dedicate oneself to mastery. But it’s not just about the tournaments. It’s about the stories, the histories, and the effort that fuels the art of combat. The MMA Institute will stand as a reminder of what is possible when we put our hearts into something, when we are unwavering in our commitment to preserving something important.

So, I ask you, my friends, to join us. Become an online member and access this wealth of knowledge, or learn more about our bi-annual tournament. Help us preserve what matters, and build something that will last beyond the passing of time. The world may change, but martial arts, and the spirit behind it, must remain constant.

In the end, like a fighter who dedicates their entire life to their craft, we too must dedicate ourselves to preserving what we love. The MMA Institute is not just a place of training—it is a place where history will live, and where the future will be shaped.

About Me

In 2016, I achieved something I had worked for my whole life: Grand Champion at an open tournament in Seattle, WA. It was a moment of triumph, but like any victory, it didn’t define me. It was a moment in time, one of many steps along the path. Fast forward to 2024, and after stepping away from regular training, I found myself facing a humbling defeat. I lost a fight. In that moment, I realized how much more I still have to learn, but I also recognized the value of stepping outside the comfort zone, of testing my limits and daring to see where I stand—even if it means falling.

This loss isn’t something I hide from. It is a part of the story, a reminder that the road to mastery is never straight, and there are always new challenges to face. Over the past five years, I have trained in many gyms, each providing a different perspective. Three gyms, in particular, reignited my passion and reshaped my vision, forcing me to reconsider my goals—not only in martial arts, but in life itself. One gym, in particular, helped me redefine what I want to achieve, and more importantly, who I want to become.

The journey I’ve taken is not just about me—it is about the people I want to help along the way. I want to be the person I needed when I first started. The one who believed in me when I doubted myself, the one who offered guidance and support when the path ahead seemed unclear. My goal now is to build a place where we can all come together, share in our victories and losses, and support one another in our pursuit of growth.

This is why I’ve created the Martial Arts Institute. Not only as a platform to train, but as a space to preserve the legacy of martial arts—much like the great libraries of the past that safeguarded knowledge for generations. I want this institute to be a place where the spirit of martial arts lives, where knowledge and history are passed down, and where fighters and students alike can reach their highest potential.

Through this institute, I am not just sharing my journey—I am inviting you to walk beside me. Together, we will face the challenges, celebrate the victories, and learn from the losses. As I continue to grow, I am here to help you grow as well. The path is never easy, but it is worth every step. Let’s take that journey together.
